My project is a real story illustration based on a Chinese girl called Zoufan. She had depression and committed suicide in 2012. People know her by her thousands of Weibo stories, full of strange thoughts and ideas, eg “It’s a sunny day, really suitable for jumping from a building.” I call it “Mutter Diary”. But it’s too sad. I wanted these stories to be a more positive experience, so I added switch endings after her quotes, eg “but I would like to jump into a swimming pool this day,” to tell people even if they have been through such hard times, there is still hope. Each quote has keywords of symptoms. Anyone in need of help, can click the link. I want people to be touched and cheered by these illustrations.
